Sunscreen
EXHIBIT
The interactive Investigate Sunscreen exhibit enabled visitors to explore and visualize the protection of sunscreen against ultraviolet (UV) rays. Sunscreen showed up as black when viewed with a UV camera, illustrating the absorption of UV light by the protective lotion.
I led the development of this exhibit at the Museum of Life and Science in North Carolina. I researched UV cameras, experimented with sunscreens to discover which ones had the most UVA protection, prototyped set-up and signage, and evaluated the visitor experience. The museum exhibits team built the prototype and Jeff Kennedy Associates did the final design work.
